DGP Anurag Sharma told Telangana BSNL to speedup Tracking Network

Telangana State Director General of police Anurag Sharma reviewed the progress works of Crime and Criminal Tracking network systems and directed all department to complete it by March, 2017.

DGP has urged BSNL Officials to speed up the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS) project in the state as faulty underground cabling was hampering its implementing in the two Cyberabad commissionerates.


He also reviewed the inter-operable criminal justice system which is being implemented as a pilot project.
Under the Centre's National e-Governance plan the union home ministry has allocated Rs.2,000 crore for the CCTNS mission.


IT connects 35 states and Union Territories, linking more than 14000 police stations and 6000 offices. This will advantage of exchanging of information across the country and serve as an advanced tool for inverstigation.
