BSNL is planning to launch lifetime free Voice service from January, 2017

BSNL 4G Offers-Free Voice calls at cheaper tariff
Recently Reliance Jio grandly launched its 4G services offering Unlimited Free voice calling as well Unlimited free data usage for its users across the county.

State run Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to launch lifetime free voice service along with plans that will be cheaper than Jio offering under 4G mobile services.


As per latest information, BSNL to retain and to gain more number of connections in all Telecom circle according to the need of demand for 4G services has decided to launch unlimited voice calling services as cheaper than Relaince Jio. This move from BSNL will impose more pressure on private telecom operators like Vodafone, Airtel and Idea Cellular to slash tariff in competition with BSNL and Jio.


In a statement BSNL CMD Anupam Srivastava said, ‘The telco will also come up with lifetime free-voice plans from the New Year as part of fresh offerings. He added that the telco’s new plans will be lower than the Jio plan by Rs 2-4. We estimate that a large amount of time is spent at home, and so here we can ride on our wire-line operations’.


Reliance Jio is offering free voice service, starting at Rs.149/- with monthly validity. The tariff will be applicable from 1st January and current services are being offered for free till 31st December, 2016 and applicable to 4G customers only.


Whereas, BSNL targeting 2G and 3G subscribers providing service to its mobile customers having home broadband connection. PSU is routing all free voice calls through the landline services.
