Reliance Jio 4G data plans tariff are the world’s cheapest starts from Rs.50 for 1GB

After long anticipation at last Reliance Jio Limited (RIL) has announced the commercial launch of Reliance Jio service offering lowest tariff uninterrupted data usage and voice calls completely free in the Indian market.
As per latest information, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani used the company’s Annual General meeting in Mumbai announced the launch of RIL 4G service.

Reliance Jio data packs will start for as low as 5 paise per MB adding up to Rs 50 for 1GB, a fraction of the cheapest data plan in India at the moment. 

RIL chairman Ambani said , the tariff was based on three pillars: one, the customer should play for only voice or data; two, data must be affordable; and, three, pricing structure should be simple. So Reliance Jio won’t charge for voice calls, data prices will be what Ambani calls the 'cheapest in the world” and there will be just 10 tariff plans to choose from.

The service will begin on 5th September, and will offer absolutely free voice, SMS, 4G data usage and Jio digital app access for all users till December, 2016. RIL won’t charge for voice calls and SMS, its charging at Rs.50 per GB and is much lower on packs with higher bundles.

Reliance Jio will offer data packs ranging from Small (S) to XXXL.

• The small pack starts at Rs. 149 offering the customer free voice calls, 0.3GB of 4G data, Jio apps subscription worth Rs. 1260 and 100 SMS for 28 days.
• The medium pack costs Rs. 499 and offers free voice calls, 4GB + Unlimited 4G at Night, unlimited SMS, and 8GB JioNet Hotspot for 28 days.
• Another Medium pack costs Rs. 999, offering the subscribers 10GB + unlimited 4G at night along with Jio app subscription and unlimited SMS. There is also 20GB Wi-Fi (JioNet Hotspot).
• The Large pack costs Rs. 1499 comes with 20GB 4G data + unlimited 4G at night and 40GB of Wi-Fi data. Unlimited SMS, free voice calls, Jio apps subscription, and unlimited SMS comes as default.
• The Extra Large Pack (XL) costs Rs. 2499. It comes with 35GB 4G data with unlimited 4G at night and 70GB Wi-Fi data.
• The XXL pack costs Rs. 3999 offering 60GB with unlimited 4G at night and 120GB Wi-FI data.
• The XXXL pack costs Rs. 4999 with 75GB 4G data with unlimited 4G at night and 150GB Wi-FI JioNet Hotspot.

The Reliance Jio data packs give users an access to free voice calls and Jio premium apps. Jio Premium apps include JioPlay, JioOnDemand, JioBeats, JioMags, JioXpressNews, JioDrive, JioSecurity and JioMoney. Reliance Jio data packs with access to Jio premium apps is free till December 31, 2017. Users will be charged as per these data packs after December 31.

RIL through its Reliance Jio Stores in Delhi and Mumbai activating Aadhaar based e-verification for SIM and planned to extend the same to other parts of the country very soon. Customer can walk out of the store with an active JIO connection within 5 minutes of 4G SIM activation and verification process.
