Airtel to encourage and get more subscribers to its new banking services ‘Airtel Payments Bank’ offering Free talk value for new account holders.
As per latest information, Airtel customers who open a savings account in Airtel Payments Bank will get one minute of Airtel to Airtel talk time on his number for every rupee they deposited with 30 days validity.
Official sources from Airtel said that, this would definitely benefit for its mobile users those who opens a saving account in Airtel Bank for Rs.1000 can avail 1000 minutes of free On-net talk time for a period of 30 days per user.
However, this offer is applicable for first time deposits only and the free talk time offered from Airtel customers can be used to make voice calls anywhere in India.
In a statement Airtel Payments Bank MD and CEO said, ‘We are leveraging Airtel’s telecom ecosystem to bring banking services to the doorsteps of every Indian. We are confident that this additional benefit along with the industry-best interest rate on deposits will encourage customers to open accounts with us and give a big boost to customer acquisition’.
Airtel Payments Bank saving account holders will get 7.25% interest rate per annum. Through APB service subscriber can make payments for online shopping purchases.
The company is on pilot project run in Rajasthan state opened 10000 saving accounts and go live within two days. Through APB saving account user can avail services like cash deposit withdrawal facilities even transfer money from APB to any bank. If the customer transfers money from One Airtel Bank to Others friends/relative Airtel Bank account there will be no charges for transfer.
